Research Park at Florida Atlantic University Announces Numerous Tenant Openings and Milestones

BOCA RATON, FL – The Research Park at Florida Atlantic University, is enjoying an extremely busy summer, as numerous tenants opened their brand-new offices at the seven-building technology hub in Boca Raton, while others secured exciting new partnerships and funding. These milestones come as Banyan Development and PEBB Enterprises, which own the long-term ground leasehold interest in the office buildings, generate substantial interest from prospective tenants.

One tenant, FloSpine, recently opened its 4,961-square-foot office at the Research Park and closed a $1.7 million seed round for its flagship medical device Keylift. FloSpine is an industry leader in spinal implants, with eight patents for medical devices focused on the spine.

Another tenant, Instrumentum, expanded its footprint at the Research Park by 4,564 square feet less than a year after taking occupancy. Instrumentum is an emerging leader in the surgical instrument sterilization field.

This month, the Boca Raton Airport Authority broke ground on a new Flight Observation Area to be constructed at the Research Park. The observation area, an elevated platform with shaded seating and ADA-accessible ramps, will allow for public photography of aircraft in a safe setting.

“The momentum has been incredible in the two years since our joint venture acquired the leasehold interest in the Research Park,” PEBB President and CEO Ian Weiner said. “The vision of the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University to establish South Florida’s premier incubator for technology, innovation and entrepreneurship is coming to fruition. As Boca Raton-based companies, PEBB and Banyan are especially proud to play a role in the continued curation of the Research Park.”
Other notable updates at the Research Park include:

• Triangulate Labs entered into a licensing agreement with the Mayo Clinic to develop its AI-powered SkinMap technology
• Aventusoft celebrated the opening of its 4,000-square-foot office at the Research Park, while Thema Brain Health officially opened its 2,652-square-foot location
• Baptist Health opened its 9,100-square-foot, state-of-the-art cardiac care ambulatory surgery center (ASC)
• MPLT Healthcare is constructing a 7,810-square-foot office expansion that will bring its total footprint to 29,783 square feet upon completion

“We appreciate the commitment of the PEBB and Banyan teams to bolstering the tenant roster and facilitating expansions of existing tenants at the Research Park,” Research Park at FAU President Andrew Duffell said. “These recent success stories are just a few examples of how our tenants innovate, establish critical partnerships, obtain funding and grow.”

Located at 3600-3998 FAU Blvd., the Research Park includes a total of 308,305 square feet of office space. It is the only state university-affiliated research park in South Florida and considered a premier technology business incubator for the region.
