Jared Weiner, Principal
Jared Weiner, grandson of PEBB Enterprises Founder Paul Weiner, son of longtime PEBB Principal Bruce Weiner and brother of PEBB President & CEO Ian Weiner, was a driving force behind PEBB’s evolution into one of the nation’s premier commercial real estate investment, development and management companies supporting a diversified portfolio of properties located throughout the U.S.
As PEBB’s Principal, Jared oversaw all of the firm’s development and growth activities, including ground-up construction, redevelopment projects, big-box retail leasing and acquisitions. In its first three decades of operation, PEBB focused primarily on retail and office properties in South Florida. Jared and Ian sought opportunities to expand into new markets beyond South Florida’s tri-county area. The March 2013 acquisition of Walden Park, an Austin, Texas shopping center that was PEBB’s first out-of-state investment, marked a pivotal moment for the firm. Jared was also the catalyst for PEBB’s first major ground-up development project: the 200,000-square-foot Shoppes at Isla Verde in Wellington. In a 2017 interview with Shopping Centers Today, Ian lauded Jared for putting that project together and said the successful development “propelled us into the national arena.”
In the same interview, Ian described Jared as “a great family man” who was “passionate about the family business.” When he was not brainstorming ways to take PEBB to even greater heights, Jared and his wife Amanda doted on their two children, Jonah and Zoe. They were active members of two Boca Raton synagogues, B’nai Torah Congregation and Congregation B’nai Israel, and carried on the Weiner family’s longstanding commitment to philanthropy that honors the example set by Paul and Eleanor Weiner’s leadership in South Palm Beach.
Jared’s visionary approach, entrepreneurial spirit and emphasis on family continues with Ian and the entire PEBB team.
